"This has been done way better but it also feels ahead of its time! There are some shots/sense that where really effective and the cult of personalities was a fun touch even if they where just a bunch of Stephen King stereotypes all in one space together. It wasn’t the worst adaptation/reimagining of The Haunting of Hill House but also not the best so take that as you may."

The effects are okay - it’s an early 2000s production. I think a remake would be good but not necessary. I didn’t realize Kimberly Brown from Halloweentown or Melanie Lynskey from 2 & 1/2 Men was in it. "

"I remember watching this when I was a kid. It was one of my favorite Stephen King stories! I just love ghost stories and especially ones about beautiful old houses. No jump scares, which is good, but definitely appropriate for Halloween."
