It's 1993 and Ted the bear's moment of fame has passed, leaving him living with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett, who lives in a working-class Boston home with his parents and cousin. Ted may not be the best influence on John, but when it comes right down to it, he's willing to go out on a limb to help his friend and his family.

"If you liked the movies, you’ll like this. I loved the movies. More of the wonderful same. Lots of crude humor, literally tons of stuff to get offended by, lots of weed and it hits the 1993 aesthetic perfectly. This definitely isn’t for everyone, understandably. But it does have a lot of heart, a terrific cast, especially the dad played by HOF “that one guy” actor Scott Grimes and the older cousin/guru we wish we all had at 16, the enchanting Giorgia Whigham. Only 7 episodes. I can’t wait for more. "
"I wasn't planning on watching this but I saw a clip online and from the pilot episode that convinced me to give it a chance and I gotta say, I like it. I really liked it. "

"Just finished the first episode. I got to say I enjoyed what I saw from the jump. The chemistry between Seth and Max is great. The jokes have that quintessential Seth MacFarlane crude and rude humor, which I'm a big fan of. I'm stoked that they went with a limited series approach instead of a third movie. I have always really loved the New England flavor Seth brings to his projects. I'm from New England myself, and I appreciate how the man sticks to his roots. Anyway, go ahead and watch it if you're a fan. "
"Ultra low-brow, but I have to admit it made me laugh quite heartily."
