"Similar style to the dragon prince. Theres only one plot driven by the main character, hopefully the next season will flesh out the other characters more instead of having them as comic relief. It's good but there are better out there and theres going to be a lot more d&d style anime being released soon, I'm not sure based on the first season that this will be able to hold it's own against vox machina etc. "

"Stays close to the lore/game. I was born in the late seventies and grew up in eighties watching sword and sorcery titles like Dungeons &Dragons, Conan The Barbarian, and Beast Master. To me story trumps everything and there is a decent story here and the action is top notch. If you enjoy stories of high adventure then Dragon Age Absolution fills the bill. Also don't let reviews with buzzwords like, "woke", control or scare you away from this series. Watch it for yourself and decide if it's good or not. There is something here for fans of the genre to stay entertained. "

"If you've played the games you'll definitely understand the reference and two of the cameos in the beginning. The show takes place in two places we haven't got to see yet in games, Nevarra and Tevinter. I've seen people saying it's lacking, but I have been enjoying it very much."
