"James Frain, Rufus Sewell, Jason Scott Lee, John Leguizamo, and Mili Avital make up a skilled and diverse ensemble cast in this wonderful fantasy storytelling adventure. I have watched many adaptations of this title, and this is a lavish and colourful production. I didn't like John Leguizamo as the genie. To me, his performance is extremely overwhelming. But that is my only negative experience with his movie. I found that the rest of the stories about a young ruler, three broths that find the meaning of true wealth, and a man who woos a princess to be his wife were perfectly told and I felt immersed in the storytelling.
