"What a strange show. Kate Winslet portrays a dictator of a vague European country, modeling itself somewhere between North Korea and Russia. She is extremely odd and seems to suffer from mental health issues that causes her obsession with her health and extreme fear of black mold. The show takes an entire season to get to the point and so much happens in the last 2 episodes it felt rushed and over-dramatic. Not really a show I'll recommend to people to be honest. "
"It was an interesting watch and definitely had its moments, but for a show called “The Regime” it felt surprisingly light on political intrigue. It was at its best when it showed the consequences of Elena’s myopic governance on the other characters and the rest of the country. Agnes was the only character who didn’t suck, and I was more engaged in the parts that focused on her and her son. Despite having some good twists in the last two episodes, I thought it was weird that the ending seemingly tried to make me sympathize with Elena and care about her relationship with Herbert."
