Together they venture across the land on their quest for vengeance. Appearances can be deceiving, and each step could be their last. "Four episodes in and this anime gets gloriously dark and Gothic. So glad that I stuck with it. Wondering why The Witch and the Beast isn't receiving more buzz about it. Story and animation is solid. "

"I'm really enjoying this show. Just finished Season 1 and will be very sad if it ends here. The world is rich and darkly beautiful, and the characters are fascinating. I'm under the impression many people haven't given it a chance, and if you enjoy dark fantasy then you are missing out. There are, of course, a lot of mature and potentially troubling themes, as well as a decent amount of violence and gore (hence 'dark fantasy'), but it's one of the few series from Winter 2024 that I absolutely was looking forward to every week."
