"This is a fantastically well-written and well acted limited series about the movie industry in the early 1940s. The plot starts just before the partition in August 1947 of India and Pakistan. It involves characters from different backgrounds whose ambitions converge at Roy Talkies, a powerful movie studio in India. All of the characters are fleshed out, even the minor actors. Each episode is such a wonderful production, and plays is like a short film. I am thoroughly enjoying watching how each characters' ambitions change their lives for the good and bad. 80% Hindi audio. 20% English audio. There is also the option of hearing English dubbing, which is also performed very well by Indian speakers."
