Siren: Survive the Island

"This was a very interesting reality show that pits 6 groups of 4 women each against each other. There is no prize except bragging rights. These are 24 incredibly strong and tenacious Korean women who have extremely daunting jobs. We have firefighters, police women, athletes, bodyguards, stunt women, and soldiers who all really want those bragging rights! They all stay on an island in the middle of a mudflat and compete in arena challenges and base battles. The base battles begin when the Siren goes of which can happen at ANY time between 00:00 and 24:00. Each team has a team flag that they hide on their base and defend against attackers. Each player wears another flag on their backs. If the flag is taken, they are considered dead, I suppose, and are out of the rest of that base battle. If their team flag is taken, they are out of the competition and must leave the island. The team who took the flag acquired their base and anything in it. The goal is to conquer the entire island and own all of the base camps. I have to say, these ladies get rough! They are all bad-ass, and a couple are just kind of over the top with anger and aggression. I really disliked them but they kept it interesting. I highly recommend this show if you love to watch tough as nails women battle it out. There is a lot of strategy, recon, and nerve involved. I have so much respect for these women. And I'll just tell you now, my favorite team was the firefighters. I guess that's not a spoiler. 😊"

"I really enjoyed this show. It's basically an extreme version of Capture the Flag. The teams have to survive in drastically different structures scattered across an island, all with very few supplies. Once a day, at any hour, a siren goes off to start a base battle. There are surprisingly few rules to these, resulting in some wild content. With women breaking windows, knocking down doors and falling out of trees, this is just a great concept for reality television."
