Family by Choice

"The Korean adaptation of the Chinese drama Go Ahead, the storyline for the most part remains the same, however there were some significant changes. Revolving around the meaning of family, while discussing child abandonment, trauma, love and healing, GA was a very loved drama, but I had a few things I thought couldve been better. After watching FBC, I feel those in charge of adapting the drama for the Korean audience had similar views as mine. That's not to say I preferred all the changes to the original, but as an overall opinion, I did like this version better. So while the original was definitely special, I think this remake is worth watching! And remember adaptations are never meant to be clones, while it's nearly impossible not to compare them, understand that these are different versions of the original characters, they have a different culture, different language: they will be different. 9/10 🍳🎂🍒"

"This is a solid drama for me. I was excited for every Wednesday to watch this and now I can’t believe that it’s over. I personally like this more than the Chinese version. They kept it short yet they still stay true to the OG. I just can’t give it 5 stars cuz I don’t see the replay value of this. I don’t think I’m ever gonna rewatch this."
