After Midnight

"Two stars based on the first and only episode out at this time, and I very much hope to raise it later on. This was quite unlike the typical talk show style I'm used to seeing, but rather a game show format throughout. When I first tuned in on Paramount+, after the ad in the beginning and then seeing Taylor on screen, it seemed as if I missed something as she just seemed to "dive right in," quickly saying her name and name of her show, briefly explaining the game, I think, introduced her three comedian contestants, and then she went right into the game show. So quick. I was like, "Wait, what?" In fact, I hit the rewind as I thought I had missed the beginning of the show. No, I didn't. Maybe I thought that due to the fact there's no monologue? I do give her credit for trying something different, but I'm not quite sure this works? Also, this first episode seemed very "rushed" throughout. I suspect part of it may be that she still needs to find her footing and perhaps it's still way too early to pass judgment. I'm hoping for future episodes that she changes it up a bit from being ONLY a game show format to adding in more of a variety of other types of entertainment with different guests (who MAY end up being game show contestants only though, such as it was in this first episode). I plan to check out future episodes from time to time to see the progress. I'm rooting for her!! "
