"We had to sit through 3 boring episodes at almost an hour each, enduring bad acting and questionable character choices before getting to the good stuff in the final episode. The landslide and massive tsunami was impressive to behold but not enough to salvage this series in my opinion. 5/10"
"I really enjoyed this mini series. It reminded me of the Sci-fi channel back in the 90s when they were putting out some decent disaster movies. This little island was giving several dangerous signs. But as usual politics, worries about job security, and stubbornness kept them from warning people earlier."
"3½⭐ Limited series about a tsunami triggered by a volcanic eruption in La Palma, part of the Canary Islands (Spain), where it was mostly filmed as well as in Tenerife. I thought it might be similar to the 2012 movie, "The Impossible," which I really liked, and I suppose it also reminded me a bit of the 1997 movie, "Dante's Peak." For me, La Palma had a slow buildup and dragged a bit, but I suppose the purpose there was to get to know the characters, mostly of the Norwegian family vacationing in La Palma as well as the young researcher and those involved with this researcher, etc. I'm glad I watched through to the end, as the "good stuff" started happening in the last two episodes, with the last episode being the best imo; HOWEVER, I wish they would have dragged out the disaster scenes a bit more for effect (CGI not the best regardless imo). I think this may have been better condensed down to a shorter movie rather than spread out in episodes totaling about three hours."
"This movie was so bad. The writing was awful, the acting was awful and all the bad decision making was awful. This doesn’t include the plot holes, irrelevant side storylines and not even remotely accurate after effect of the tsunami.
Don’t waste your time on this one unless you have insomnia and need to fall asleep. 😴 "

**La Palma** is a visually captivating mini-series about a Norwegian family's vacation turned nightmare due to a potential volcanic eruption. The show excels in its stunning cinematography and strong performances. While some plot points may feel a bit far-fetched, the intense family dynamics make it an engaging watch. It's a thrilling series, though the ending might leave some viewers wanting more. Are you going to watch it ?"
