Expedition from Hell: The Lost Tapes

"***(Spoiler Alert)*** Once I started watching this limited series, I kind of got sucked in and had to see it through to the end. Mickey Grosman led an expedition across South America through the most inhospitable parts of the Amazon jungle under the guise of charity for cancer research. We come to learn pretty early on that Mickey is a selfish, controlling, hot headed egomaniac and a little bit of a psycho. He treats most everyone around him horribly, and it's "his way, or the highway". He lies, and fabricates scenarios to make himself look a certain way. But by the end , the producers combed through his footage and photos and proved that he didn't actually finish the exhibition. He came home for a few months to rest before going back to pick up where he left off. Still an amazing accomplishment that I would never even think of attempting, it was just satisfying to see him squirm and get p*ssed when presented with the proof. Overall it was a mediocre documentary that I kinda got sucked into watching. 6/10"
