Samantha Newly has been a bad, bad girl. But thanks to an 8-day coma, she can't remember a thing. Fortunately her best friend Andrea is by her side with a cocktail and the 4-1-1 on every dirty deed. But the more Sam pieces together her past, the less she likes her old self. Maybe this is a chance to start over and do it all again.

" ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Just finished a rewatch and I enjoyed it as much as the first time! This show deserved way more attention than it got. Heartfelt, hilarious and a stellar cast. Christina Applegate has never been more adorable as Sam, trying to overcome her now forgotten mean-girl past to be a good person. Her evil Sam flashbacks are beyond! It was also an early role for Melissa McCarthy whose later starpower is on display as the naive, sweet and just as adorable latched-on friend. Jennifer Esposito as Sam’s mean-girl partner in crime who keeps trying to drag her back into the pre-amnesia life, and Jean Smart, Sam’s self involved mom, are both fantastic and funny as well. This is a well-done, easy, feel-good, short ep watch when that’s exactly what you need. More people need to know about it! "
"I love this show. Currently going on a Christina Applegate bender, and I’ve been watching this with every activity that I do. Doing homework? Samantha Who. Eating dinner? Samantha Who. Trying to fall asleep? Samantha Who. I just love the character dynamics. Her parents are hilarious and very traditional, and her friends are literally the angel and devil on her shoulder. Dena is so cute and Andrea is insane but I love her for that. And it’s so crazy to see the parallels between this and Dead to Me. Both plots originated from hit and runs?? And I think Jen reminds me of a mix between old Sam and new Sam. The chaotic neutral. I just love it. That is all. "
