"The seasons vary in tone dramatically, so if you're unsure where to start I'd recommend part II, aka the "red jacket" series. Its pretty goofy and lighthearted so it's good if you liked cagliostro or are generally new to Lupin III. I've also seen part V and it's an interesting take on modern crime, though it cuts down a bit on the humor and comedy."
