"Even though this is a spin-off of a preexisting franchise it’s a cornucopia of ideas. Supernatural, horror, science fiction, drama, thriller, philosophical, psychological… probably more labels would fit. Point-of-view shifts between different protagonists so we see different parts of the same situation. The music fits perfectly for all the previous labels I used. Somehow someway it ends in such a anti-climatic and fitting way. Definitely one of my favorite anime. "
