"An outstanding legal drama (18 episodes) set in London. The “hero” is a crackerjack female barrister (English trial lawyer) equipped with a strong sense of justice, brains, and the drive to rise into the English legal elite by becoming “Queen’s Counsel” - otherwise known as “ taking the silk.” (Thus the title.) The creator was a barrister turned writer. The show reflects legal issues common to both England and America. As a recently retired trial lawyer, SILK is recommended highly. "
