"Everybody's Grandma's favorite show! And for good reason, it was funny. What's cool about it is that it wasn't doing what things do today with "religious undertone", this was in the church & about the church & it was funny & it was relatable for me who grew up in the black Baptist church but ain't no Baptist (or follower of organized religion), I find the "Tyler Perry-esque" shows that aim for a "religious undertone" much more forceful & off-putting than Amen ever was, they got it right."
