"As much as I hoped to like this, I kind of didn't. Don't get me wrong I finished it & even watched a few episodes more than once. However, there were plenty of times when I watched this that I wanted to stop. The only reason I continued was because I wanted to see if Sofia would return ever. She doesn't until the last 3 minutes of the final episode. Bogus. But whatever. Even others seem to share my sentiment towards it. Most of my little cousins didnt finish it & barely watched a few episodes of the show in total & they were the target audience! What everyone I've talked with seems to think is that it was Fine enough, hard to get through, (only one other person I talked with said they finished it, but they skipped quite a few episodes & also only watched the ending for Sofias cameo), not what they hoped, & easily lost interest. What sucks is most can't understand why. Even I don't. I see the good elements & I did actually finish it, but I was kind of glad when it was finally over. There's just something about it that makes people lose interest. Maybe because it doesn't end up taking the strides Sofia did later on or even that they pushed aside her cousin to be a villain. I think the real reason though is that Elena is so sure of herself & refuses to grow. With Sofia she wasn't sure of herself & slowly grew as the show progressed but still was shown to not know everything even though she was the hero in each episode. With this one Elena is kind of a Mary sue & brags a lot. I believe that's the rooted problem. Now dont get me wrong I know shes not Sofia. I just compare it because it's clear they were trying to make a queen one for Sofia. Plus she is the spin-off for her & thats where most of the audience originated from. Now you're wondering why I liked it. Me too. Ok...jokes aside I think it's because in total the show is good. The only problem is something about the show makes you lose interest. Even though that happens it's still good despite its challenges."
