The Glory of Tang Dynasty

"I want to start by saying I watched this with poor English dubs. It is probably better with the real actors voices and correct subtitles. I'm pretty sure things like "wow", "cool" and other English slang were not used. Part of the enjoyment is that they speak differently. The dubbing was clearly done using modern English language and slang. As well as some interesting American accents. One of the princes was voiced with a fake strong southern accent. If you can get past that I developed a bit of a love hate with this story line. I loved the chemistry and strong bond our leading couple had. As always there were some great side characters and I enjoyed that they traveled around a lot so the show wasn't completely told in one or two cities. The plot though often feels like a teenager girl and a teen boy took turns writing the story. This is a happy, love story... No it isn't this is a tragedy and war. No...no no go back to the love story. No romance is dumb. There are so many plot holes and story lines that just got abandoned. 82 episodes... could have definitely been less. I watched this on the startimes on app. You do have to pay for a month long subscription to watch this. I am still debating if it was worth it or not. "
