"Good, a bit hard to rewatch but fun. I think the idea is creative but everything feels a bit off on the pacing and emotions. It's hard to pinpoint. It seems like it takes itself too seriously while also not seriously enough.
It does give me H2O vibes though, in a good way. Like I enjoy the characters and the situations they end up in too. However, some things just feel wrong somehow. The second season does help out with fixing those problems. I do enjoy the 2nd season a lot. But it's not irredeemable. In fact Kyra feels too forced to be a kind of chosen one. Like of course that would happen, it just also felt a bit much at times. I did enjoy the progression and the relatio ships growing, but man is there somethings wrong with this magical world that seem like they should've been a bit better handled.
It suffers from characters not thinking like people and instead thinking like side characters in a tv show. That sentence really makes sense when you think about it. We as humans love seeing characters act like people, and this just rarely has that occur. And sometimes the characters act like robot characters meant to only accomplish one plot point. So that really doesn't help matters.
Still though I enjoy watching this, I just also can't watch every episode. It's not a bad thing but not great either. It's still a good show with an overarching plot to keep kids invested."
