"Finally I watched the 2019 version and it was beautiful and funny to watch. Shigure, Aya, Hatsu, Kyo, Momiji, Hiro, Ritsu and Kagura being the funny in the series. I loved Hatori Sohma, the serious Doctor. All the characters were cute. Momiji is also my favorite. Tohru’s two friends were very funny as well. Totally recommend it, a lot of funny moments with Shegure that “sly dog”, literally. First two seasons has 25 episodes each and 3rd season with 13 episodes. This version is a bit more detail than the one from 2001 but still good. The 2001 is a bit shorter, but because the manga wasn’t finish yet that is why it felt like there was still a lot of missing parts."
"4.3: super sweet story and it really is a nice length (3 full seasons), kyo and tohru were my favorite combination so I’m so glad they ended up being endgame. momiji is my favorite character, HANDS DOWN. sweetest lil cutie pie just here to have a good time 🥺🫶🏽
why i didn’t give it a 4.5: there was a point where i physically could not stand shigure anymore because he was crossing that line of no longer funny, just extremely creepy & no matter what angle i try to see it from, him being so obsessed with akito when she was literally a baby is still so weird (i don’t care if she’s supposed to be god!!! she was like 8 years old and he was like 20, it’s f*ckin weird) and i don’t even like akito like that!
other than that, the story is so heartwarming and honestly really comforting for someone (me) who’s experienced early family loss at a younger age so tohru really is the ultimate comfort character 💕"
