"I watched this slow, steady scifi series five stars because of the production quality alone. I always gravitate toward any movie or series that immediately draws the viewer into a mood or ambience to tell a story. That is exactly what this series does. There are only six episodes and what I hope to be the first season of many. Travis Fimmel and Emily Watson Star in this layered and powerfully written prequel series of The Sisterhood or monastic group of mentally powerful women who are the backbone of the Dune story. Each episode feels like a standalone movie full of political subplots, villainy and treachery as we look at the beginning of what grew into the rivalry between House Atreides and House Harkonnen. The first episode starts out slowly and by the middle of episode two, I was hooked and watched the rest of the season in one day. This series has an excellent storyline, group of actors, and an amazing eye for how to use set design and light and shadow as art. I am very impressed. Warning: ⚠️ Adult themes, sexual scenes, female nudity, some blood and violence."
"Quite enjoyed this show. It doesn't spoon-feed you information and has almost GoT levels of intrigue and backstabbing but with a smaller cast so some attention is required. Don't do your chores on the side. 😂 The production quality is pretty outstanding for a tv show with unique set and costume designs that do a nice job selling the world. Some scenes earlier in the season are a bit tonally off and feel more like something out of a young adult show but it settles in well over time. 8 out of 10"
"If you liked the dune movies you’ll like this. If you like sci-fi political stuff you’ll like this. I think the plot started off a lil chaotic to me but I’m still liking it. It’s got me intrigued to see how this sisterhood became who they are. And if they’re good ppl or not. "

"The plot is engaging with lots of interesting storylines, but the lack of world building and some poor acting performances make it all feel a bit hollow. "

"Slowly but surely captivating if you are already into the Dune. "
