"I really wanted to like this show more than I do. The beginning started off strong but about 3/4 of the way through the focus of the show completely shifts off the protagonist, which was weird. The character arcs are also weak, not to say that the characters are not likable, just not well explored via the plot. That being said, all of the acting cast was phenomenal. Bai Lu did such a great job in this show that when I watched her in another drama, it felt weird seeing her dressed like a girl lol!"

"This is one of the best C-dramas I’ve watched!!! I loved it so much! The visuals are just so stunning that you genuinely feel like you’ve been transported back to the early 1900s. The storyline is so good with moments of happiness, and moments of complete sobbing. The romance between the main and side couples is so cute too! (However, if you’re into steamy romance and some sizzling kisses like me… that’s not gonna happen lol) The ending isn’t rushed whatsoever and is perfect to such an amazing story. Now if you’ll excuse me… I have to get over my show-hole. :,)"
