There is a murder committed in a city where everyone is monitored 24/7 yet there is no monitored proof. How and why was the murder committed? You will know the answers, as well as who was behind it, by the end of this six-episode Brazilian show but I didn't love the ending. I realize it sets the show up perfectly for a second season, which airs January 24, 2024 on Netflix, but I wanted it tied up in a neat little bow for me. I can't say more without spoiling it...
There was one thing about this show that I really liked. The "area" where this monitoring takes place seems to be within a larger metropolis. You have a drone that follows and records you at all times, while in the area's limits but you can leave the area and go out into the rest of the city where there is no monitoring. Of course it is very dangerous outside of the area, where you are not being monitored. This shows the pros and cons of living in each of the areas. In one, you have zero privacy but are safe. In the other, you are completely free but so are the criminals. So which do you choose? Which is most important to you? After watching this, I would choose safety over privacy, mainly because no humans can see the monitored footage, only the main frame computer. Which actually ends up being a real problem when trying to find a murderer!

"An interesting story. A 1984 style look at the haves and the havenots. And the role of corporate greed in controlling society. Brazilian series dubbed into English in a very good way. "
