"The feeling of a genuine chunk of someone's actual experience, when written and performed by that specific someone...I mean it just hits different. This is a really well-done biopic. Yes Mae Martin is a comedian, but this is more like 60/40 drama to comedy. I'd watch more if they decided for any reason to continue lol"
"It’s the perfect show to binge watch!! Loved it! Watched the whole season in 1 night! "

"I really enjoyed this show. At first I was put off because I went in expecting a comedy. I stayed because the drama focused on people I could relate to. I sucked it all down in 2 days and am thoroughly sated. Although others may feel like they want more here, I felt some good closure at the end of season 2. YMMV. I give this show bonus points for Eve with no makeup. (I know: shame on me.) 😜"
"There were a lot of things I liked about this show and even more things I wanted to like. But as a queer recovering substance-abuser who is also a POC from a lower working class family, I couldn't identify with the characters in the show as much as I wanted to. Only saw season 1, but Mae often exhibited incredibly selfish, entitled, and judgemental behaviors while actively ignoring her privilege as a White afab person from a wealthy family. Also she and George are both pretty toxic to each other"
