A secluded mountain lodge. The perfect getaway. So remote no one will ever find you. The promise of a luxury vacation at a secluded wilderness spa has brought together eight lucky guests. But nothing is what they were led to believe. As a fierce storm barrels down and all contact with the outside is cut off, the guests fear that it's not a getaway. It's a trap. Each one has a secret. Each one has something to hide. And now, as darkness closes in, they all have something to fear--including one another. Alerted to the vanished party of strangers, homicide cop Mason Deniaud and search and rescue expert Callie Sutton must brave the brutal elements of the mountains to find them. But even Mason and Callie have no idea how precious time is. Because the clock is ticking, and one by one, the guests of Forest Shadow Lodge are being hunted. For them, surviving becomes part of a diabolical game.

"This book just felt wrong.
I read a lot of dark romance and I am used to some ****.
But this book is a weird mix and I can't fully out my finger on it.
A bunch of kinks are thrown together in a really short amount of time. I know it's the premise of the book. But it felt extremely rushed and each element had barely any impact.
And I don't understand the FMCs needy behaviour. At one point she is hogtied, bleeding and drugged. She begs for attention, she needs to be ******. For me it came out of nowhere. Was she drugged with some **** that made her like that? Did I miss that somehow?

Also 17yo FMC, made me instantly feel uncomfortable.

And I swear I read a similiar book before. Girl loses her parents, moves to a weird town, get the highschool bullies on her ass, weird ass tradition the boy take part in, torment the girl, some mystery happening in the weird ass small town. Actually I think I read several books like that"
