"I haven’t read many ghost stories, but I really enjoyed this! The creep factor was exactly what I was looking for. It ended up being much deeper than I thought it would be, with a lot of layers in addition to the thriller/horror theme. "

"2.5⭐ <br/><br/>I listened to the audiobook of Little Girls. Ronald Malfi writes beautifully, but I just couldn't connect with the story. I didn't care for any of the characters, and I was expecting something suspenseful / creepy. There were a couple semi-creepy parts (very far and few between), but overall, it's mainly just heavy on building a descriptive atmosphere. If you aren't a huge fan of gothic literature (I like some, but not all), I would not recommend this book. <br/><br/>I feel like the story got kind of far-fetched at the end, and then ended quite abruptly for such a slow book. I have a book of Ronald Malfi's short stories, and I'm still going to try that since I've heard good things, but I just didn't love this one like I hoped I would. There also weren't really any surprises, but I don't know if they were supposed to be surprises anyway. My 2⭐ rating is not based on the author's talent, but it is based on my enjoyment of the plot. Again, Ronald Malfi writes beautifully."
