"Great chemistry- rock chicks and the hot bunch! "

"Well I finally finished this series. After rereading them and getting ultra annoyed with the same basic formula with new characters, I'm glad this one breaks away. We still get a tiny bit of the "oh no, I'm not going to be your girlfriend no matter how much I want you!" but it's over quickly thankfully. Instead, we find that the author has written herself into the story and that annoyed me, so that was new. And there was a limit on all those phrases that drove me up the wall like "how bizarre is that?".

This book focuses on Ally trying to get her family to accept not only her new boyfriend but her new career. I was more intrigued with her new career than I was with the rest of it. I liked the idea of her actually being good at this and not just the crazy stuff she got into with the rock chicks. Being the daughter of a cop, the sister of an excellent PI, she has had a lot of good examples so I'm glad she doesn't suck.

I read all these one at a time with lots of space between. For me, these were annoying to read back to back even looking back at how much I enjoyed them previously. I'm glad I finished out the series though."
