"This book was amazing! I have no words to explain how much I loved it. But I'll try.

It's a post-apocalyptic setting where children don't make it past 14. On their Sad Birthday they are taken to the Meat Factory and their parts harvested to make monsters that just know to kill. The story follows 4 children, Gold-Eye, Ella, Ninde and Drum, four of Shade's Children. Shade is a man, but at the same time he isn't, but I won't spoil that for you. The Overlords are the bad people and the ones in charge of killing the children for reasons unknown at the beginning. Shade's Children are trying to find a way to make things right as they were 15 years before and they go on missions to try to get the knowledge they need to destroy the Overlords.

This was all I hoped Mockingjay would be and wasn't. This is how I imagine the ending of dystopias to be. I wouldn't change a thing about this book.

At first I thought I wouldn't get into it, it took me about 30 pages to consider myself fully invested. The book is set up as chapter, video entry, chapter, stat or report of some kind, the video/computer entries were my favorite. I loved the insight they provided to the world without shoving knowledge down my throat.

I was a bit annoyed at the way Gold-Eye speaks. He hasn't been around people for a long time so his speech shows that and as an avid grammar fanatic, you can see how it would bug me, even though it was perfectly fitting to the story.

Go get your copy! This is THE dystopia to rule them all.

P.S. I guess I should mention there are a few curse words and some strange sex references that the story would have been okay without but it really isn't anything inappropriate."
