"Don’t read the book for the romance, you will not see any of it. Only hatered, only “enemies” and never “-to lovers”. Instead, listen to the stories of the high-faes and the “Favored Child”, Rooke. Then, in the end, you will be awed of the power of Rookesbane Eveningstar. My new favorite heroine ⚔️"
"4.3 stars
Well, if the next book doesn't have Soren on his knees, with snot coming down his nose and in agony with every breath, I don't want it. The grovelling that I need to witness from this ******* bigot of a man better be greater than anything I've read before. AND his little circle of bigots better be right there with him.
J. Bree really said enemies to lovers? Bet. Then proceeded to dedicate a whole book to enemies. I don't know how she's going to turn things around because the thought of Rooke being with Soren right now makes me sick.
That relationship aside, everything Rooke did was a slay, and she can do no wrong in my eyes. Ss a matter of fact, she did nothing wrong. She is perfection.
I'd have truly given this book five stars for the excellent plot and characters were it not for some parts of the writing. there were places that felt either overly explained or repetitive. Overall, this was a great time and I'm eager to read the next one"
