"It was so good, I had to stop halfway to let some time go by so that when I finished I’d be closer to the release of the second book. Did it work? No, no it didn’t because I have no idea when the remaining books in this series are coming. Fact is however, I’ll be waiting. I LOVE Isolde and her constant resolve from the very beginning to be more than just a role to fill in another king’s court. Throughout the entirety of this book, she embodies grace, wisdom and strength. She sacrifices over and over but it’s never in vain, and the plot twist? You won’t see it coming. She’s strength embodied even in the worst or circumstances. Adrian, forever the king of consent, I think that’s a kink for Scarlett St Clair and I’m here for it. The way he venerates Isolde’s entire being from the very beginning, despite all of the things she does under the idea that she’s fighting for her people. I lost it completely at “all of the stars in the sky…” IYKYK. Adrian is the definition of support and patience and he’s ruined all other men for me. This is most definitely a book with plot and some really nice spice. I love how this enemies to lovers was carried out beautifully. You can definitely tell that this book is merely an introduction into what’s coming. The world building is amazing, especially when in comparison of Revekka the vampire kingdom to Lara, Isolde’s kingdom. "
"From page 1 I loved this book! I read this in one sitting yesterday. I usually don’t read a lot of fantasy because the old timey dialect is hard for me to grasp but this was great! The story was full of action and even had a mysterious element that leaves you wondering why the MMC was going through all of this for the FMC.
I hadn’t read a vampire book since Twilight and I had been procrastinating reading this book because I wasn’t sure if I would like it but I am now a romantasy fan. I’m excited to read the second book in the series. "
"Not a favorite, honestly. Seemed pretty predictable at times and the ending felt rushed. A lot of spice, but some of it felt randomly thrown in there and didn’t make sense to the plot. I did like the characters, though. "

"If you’re looking for a spicy supernatural carnal romance, this book is right up your alley. Arranged marriage and enemies to lovers tropes. It wasn’t one of my favorite reads, but it was entertaining enough that I would like to read the second book and see how this story plays out. Also, this book is higher up on the spice scale! 🌶🌶🌶#vampires #witches #magic #royalty #romance #spicy #fantasy #violence #enemiestolovers #arranged_marriage "
