"Idk.......... I like/hate Natalie! Like chick! You brought some of that stuff on yourself! Like OPEN YOUR MOUTH ASK FOR HELP! your mother in law! was their to help! You sitting their Like you couldn't put some of that milk in a bottle! <br/><br/>Ok! Yes! Being a new mom is stressful nooo freaking lie! And being one who actually suffered from PPD! I feel ya! But I tell ya! I didn't latch on to no DAMN stranger LOL!!!!<br/><br/>I hate how Nora wrote her but I guess that's how she wanted her to be! Like that mom brain!! She can't remember stuff! Want to make her seem like she losing her mind but I feel like it went waaaay beyond what it needed! LIKE WE GET IT! YOUR BOOBS ARE FULL! YOU NEED TO NURSE! HUSH ALREADY! HUSH HUSH HUSH! I would have given 5 stars but guh darn! Her POV was just annoying! Let emotional cheat with my neighbor! Because he holds by baby and tells me I'm a good mom! And I'm to tired because I stare at my baby all night to sleep to notice that the man is using me!! And even tho my husband just keeps telling me to stay away! I need this man! Because my husband doesn't understand! Because I don't let him actually understand me! At all and how tired I am with everything! Ugh! Just ugh! <br/><br/>Like babies are hard yes! But guh! Girl! Call your MIL! you acting like your the only person that had a difficult child! Ask for help!! I really didn't like this chick! And the officer either! Because literally focused on the chick from the get go! Because huh! Paul was like OH SHE WAS OBESSED! like did yall not do background checks on husband all of a sudden? Really!?! Whole book! Just ****** me off! <br/><br/>Really just gave new moms that suffer with PPD a bad name!"

"Thank you so much NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for my copy of The New Mother by Nora Murphy. <br/><br/>I really enjoyed this one, it was hard for me to get in to at first, being a mom of two young kids and reading this new mom’s struggles, having been there so recently myself. I enjoyed the different narrators throughout the story, Natalie, Paul and Detective West, hearing all sides of the story. I will definitely be checking out Nora’s other book!"
