"Huh🤔I…don’t really know what to say about this one which isn’t a bad thing; it’s just not a great thing either. I remember reading this in 7th grade, I believe, and I absolutely LOVED this book. Coming back to it almost 6 years later? I’m not quite sure what I loved about it. The plot was fairly easy to follow and there was nothing that really made the story stand out against the plethora of romantasy books out there. The characters had some depth but it was difficult for me to connect myself with them and I’m unsure why. My rabbit, Lucy, actually ate the cover of this book, and the second one, and I’d typically be VERY mad and upset. But I wasn’t. I guess that goes to show how little I really care about the book and I feel like a jerk saying that😭 But hey, a girl likes what she likes🤷♀️🙌"
"Anyone else had trouble getting into this book? I'm like almost halfway through and I feel like it's a good story, but the writing could be a lot better. Idk if I'll be able to finish it cuz small things are getting on my nerves, like the fact that the fmc's pov is first person but the mmc's pov is third person. Just me? 🤷♀️🙃"
"Good but predictable. It kind of felt like a prequel, the kind of book that fills in the backstory of the "real plot." I might read the next one to see if the "real plot" actually happens. There were definitely marks of an interesting story to be had here, but I didn't feel like any of them actually panned out. "
