Devil May Cry

"Absolutely loved this. Just binged it and might binge it again tomorrow. The soundtrack rocks the hell out to these constant epic battle sequences between all these great fantasy characters. Two all time heroes with the killer villain to match. I can’t even think about it being only eight 22 min episodes or my blood pressure spikes. Blatant cliffhangers and teases set up future seasons that I can’t believe I’ll have to wait years for. But I will because this gets added to the BES/CV/VOX/Arcane list immediately. "

"Into the 3rd episode. So far, so good and so much better than the earlier series. If you liked Castlevania, you'll probably like this. It's from the same guy. Not for children so consider yourself warned. "

"Well I literally just finished it. I’ll get into what I liked first. Rabbit was incredible I really liked his dialogue and his motivations. That opening scene with him was incredible. Amazing voice actor honestly. He was definitely my favorite part. I loved the music but especially the video game soundtrack . Sprinkled throughout thought that was brilliant. The animation is quite good and fluid. I liked how fast and fluid the action was. I think Nero did a great job voicing Dante. Still would have preferred dante though. The story so far is interesting hope they do more with it in the future. Favorite episode was 6. Probably 2 after that. Just loved seeing Dante mess with the soldiers. Loved the little references throughout and callbacks. I think this is great to get people playing the games. It really has a lot of the basics of the story. Now the big issues I have. Why was Rabbit done so dirty in the last episode. They literally gave him the joker treatment in Arkham asylum. Really annoyed me because he was done so well just an episode before. Very annoying they took the easy route. I do like Lady in this. She is very hot. But the constant swearing gets annoying. Like she really does swear every single scene. I don’t think that’s a joke either. I don’t like the direction they went with her more. But I do like they went with a different approach. Hope they develop her character more. Now I first want to say I know this show isn’t cannon. But Dante is done extremely dirty. I get they are grounding his strength but his whole character is him being cocky because of how strong he is. The CGI for the demons looks disgusting. It looked bad in the trailer. But really is noticeable in the show. Do not like the voice actor for Vergil. It’s a cool voice just doesn’t fit his character for me. Plus why did they throw in that cringe ass line at the end. Cool to see a certain Villian come back. Hope he gets redeemed in this. "

"My favorite part of this show is "The White Rabbit." His design and backstory are so fricking cool. Everything else, aside from some good action sequences and an excellent soundtrack, is mediocre. I'm tired of the "a powerful protagonist could help us save the world, but a government organization needs to have control over them because they are dangerous" trope. Devil May Cry has its heartfelt moments, and I enjoyed it, I was just expecting more. 7.8/10"
