"My middle child picked this out after watching the Netflix show and I read it to him at bedtime. The writing is solid but the main character leaves much to be desired with how he views his crush, June. She is the only female character in the book and Jack only thinks of her as a damsel in distress and wants to complete the “ultimate quest” of rescuing her."
