"The Girl from the Well was okay. I listened to the audiobook, and I liked the narrator's voice. I enjoyed a couple creepy parts, but it was pretty slow overall. The parts that interested me were very spread out throughout the book. I enjoyed the concept, and hearing the Japanese folklore stories. I'm not sure if I'll read the second one or not. I do REALLY appreciate that it was a YA story without a romance since a book like that appears to be almost non-existent."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25 Loved this book! Such an interesting perspective from a cursed spirit like the Grudge. I thought the writing was beautiful, poetic, and easy to read and understand. I never really knew where the story was going which was something I enjoyed. I must say that there was a portion in the middle that was a little slow for me, but nonetheless I very much enjoyed reading this book and will recommend it to everyone!!!"

"As much as I adore #audiobooks you gotta read this one in print. The spacing of some pages almost makes it feel like poetry and gives waaaaaay more emotion"

"Great horror book with some Japanese folklore influence which imparts a Ringu/Ju-on vibe."

"I enjoyed listening to this book. It was a nice mix of spooky with friendly ghost. If you can get that from a murderous ghost who hunts and kills child killers. I highly enjoyed this story and loved listening to this story and I am seriously thinking about listening to the second book in the series and I hope that it holds up to the first book."

"Just such a refreshing read even third time around. I didn't record the second time because it was shortly after the first go around. This reads from the ghost's perspective and I love it sooooo much. Has all the elements of Gothic Horror Romance but none of the melodrama, none of the long winded explanations and a ghost that goes after pedophiles. Straight up, this version of this particular ghost makes her a favorite across the board. Definitely a favorite.

Additionally, looking at exorcism and possession from a non-Christian perspective was fascinating. The story telling here is so well done."

"I really love this book and it's follow up book! It's based off of a true Asian story as well. The legend of okiku. The true legend is also what movies like the ring and the grudge were based off of. It's a really good read I hope you enjoy it "
