"⭐️⭐️⭐️.25 This book is filled to the brim with creepiness and has a good amount of horror that starts pretty early on in the book which I loved. I am a big can of Rin Chupeco and her writing style. Everything was beautifully written and seemed very lyrical to me very poem-esk. I love the idea of a haunted island with a film crew and I was surprised by the twists and outcome and love a non-binary character. What I didn’t enjoy was the romance part as it was very flat to me. It seemed like it was thrown in to be thrown in. Towards the middle of the book and on is when I also started not like the main character. Honestly I think the only character I liked was Chase. Everyone’s personality was very 1 dimensional, which is fine, but I wanted more from the main character specifically. Overall I really enjoyed the creepiness and do recommend this book. "
"Pure catharsis. Love listening to sadistic assholes getting scared out of their minds and tortured by the supernatural. This follows a similar fear level with "Girl from the Well" and it's just wonderful campy, over-the-top, assholes-get-theirs kind of fun. Loved it so much. Only down side is the recording is a bit messed up. There's a sudden add mid sentence and the narrator stumbles a few times and mumbles to himself and repeats lines. But otherwise, just fun."
