Their love story has gone viral. But it hasn't even begun . . . Franny meets Hayes in the opposite of a meet-cute - when her dress gets caught in the subway doors on her way home and then rips, leaving her in the fashion equivalent of a hospital gown. Hayes is the stuffy suit whose one redeeming quality is giving Franny his jacket, saving her from showing her assets to half of New York. Franny is eager to forget the whole horribly embarrassing encounter as soon as possible, but neither of them anticipated a fellow commuter live-blogging them as #subwaybaes - turning their awkward run-in into click-bait and a manufactured love story for the ages . . . Quick to dismiss Hayes as just another a rich guy, Franny is sure she'll never see him again, and she's desperate to put her three minutes of viral fame behind her. But fate isn't done with the would-be subway sweethearts just yet . . . A love letter to romance, friendship and the Big Apple, Kate Spencer's In a New York Minute is a fresh, modern take on romantic comedy for fans of The Flat Share, Our Stop and One Day in December.

"This book a light and simple and a little underwhelming. The love interests don’t even interact more than a couple of times until almost half way into the book. Not a lot happens to build tension and then when they do get together for like 2 days they are all of a sudden head over heels for one another. Overall it was an okay read. Not spicy one open door scene but did fade to black part way through. "
"I am a sucker for a good romantic comedy and that’s exactly what Kate Spencer delivered. This book has that climbing the fire escape to declare my love type of ending and I couldn’t wait to get there. I really need this type of love to make an appearance in the real world. Everyone read this book!! "
"This book was a surprise. I always say I cannot read romance unless it’s fast paced and is packed with action, otherwise I get bored. Which is why I’m shocked that I really really liked this book even though it’s just a plain romance. I think the setting influenced me a little bit too! I loved the NYC vibes that filled this book! With a good cast, I think it would make a great movie! Also question: why is there no fan art or character concepts?? 😫all the more reason for a movie… "
"ok this book was cute but way to slow for my liking. i’m a fast reader and usually read books between 1-3 days and this book i read in three but literally had to FORCE myself to read. the characters were cute and story was even good but it was boring quite often. it literally could have been 200 words shorter. i’d give it a 2.5/5 "

"I’m a sucker for slightly nerdy girl in the city and aloof, rich hot dude. This one was 4/5 for me, but right up my alley. "
