Stella Rimington
A terrorist is targeting Britain. And to make matters worse it’s an “invisible”-- Mi5-speak for someone traveling under a British passport. Virtually impossible to find before it’s too late. The job falls to Liz Carlyle, the most resourceful counter terror agent in British intelligence. Tracking down this invisible is a challenge like none she has faced before. It will require all her hard-won experience, to say nothing of her intelligence and courage. Drawing on her own years as Britain's highest-ranking spy, Stella Rimington gives us a story that is smart, tautly drawn, and suspenseful from first to last.

"Spycraft with a fast-paced story of British and American spies and military trying to hunt down an “invisible,” an unknown and malevolent character with a British passport and nefarious objectives. We spend most of our time with Liz, an agent of MI5, who hunts the invisible and the invisible’s local comrade. We see the danger that accompanies the invisible pair. The climax was squeezed into the last 5% of the story, with few clues and hints leading us to the end. However, I liked Liz and the other characters enough to give the book 5 stars. Author Stella Rimington was a former high-ranking spy in Britain. I will definitely read more in the series. At Risk was an excellent book discovery, based on a recommendation in BookPage."
