"Forecast looks good!: this read was a slice of sweet escapism and, overall, I was thrilled with this as my blind date book! Ari and Russell’s story touched my heart and I enjoyed the gentle, vulnerable, nurturing side of their relationship the most.
Ari is a weather reporter at a local Seattle news network who suffers with bouts of ongoing mental health struggles and Russell is a sports reporter at the same network. They grow closer by trying to get their divorced, feuding bosses to fall in love all over again and throughout there are cute, weather-related puns and accessories abound.
Although I mostly enjoyed this read, there were parts of it that fell flat or rang hollow in terms of the dialogue in the spicier scenes. I guess it’s just that I didn’t feel the emotional magnitude of certain scenes the way I wanted to, but I did enjoy how realistic Russell was in being portrayed as a love interest, dad bod and all. The acceptance and love felt in his and Ari’s relationship was tender and heartfelt and I just couldn’t get enough! 💕 Read this if you’re on the lookout for something meaningful and wholesome, as well as focused on how mental illness is an everlasting, rather than short-lived, battle."
"Super cute read! This book covered depression and mental health in a well thought out way. It was sweet and fun and I liked all of the side characters as well. The mmc is not your standard 6 something insanely ripped “perfect” man and that was refreshing as well. I don’t know if it loved or hated the “get the bosses together”trope. It all tied into the plot so much that the book wouldn’t work without it and I liked the book a lot so even though it was cheesy I think I liked it! There was a little bit of spice that worked well with the plot 1.5/5 spice level. The ending and epilogue were a little rushed in my opinion but overall fun book would recommend! "
"Finally a MMC that isn’t the typical underwear model! Breath of fresh air to have a male character that’s insecure in his body and isn’t crazy cocky about everything. Very likable characters. Good amount of comedy while dealing with realistic topics such as MMC being a single dad who hasn’t dated in years, and depression in the FMC. Slow burn but once it starts it’s🔥🔥"

"This is one of the only books that has a realistic/tolerable third act breakup to me. It felt like such a massive call out towards me not gonna lie. I find it weird how it took me reading this book to realize I let my fears get in the way between me and sustaining a relationship😭.
Other than that this is a really good read for when you’re looking for something on the lighter side. I read it in one day and it was pretty enjoyable.
If I’m being honest I didn’t really care for the ML, but I wholeheartedly love the FL!
It was a pretty easy read for me since I love all of the parent trap/wacky hijinks aspect of romcoms."
"Super adorable, loved all the tropes and the ending was adorable. Was in tears a few times and overall a super cute, short read."
