Connor Franta
In this intimate memoir of life beyond the camera, Connor Franta shares the lessons he has learned on his journey from small-town boy to Internet sensation—so far. Here, Connor offers a look at his Midwestern upbringing as one of four children in the home and one of five in the classroom; his struggles with identity, body image, and sexuality in his teen years; and his decision to finally pursue his creative and artistic passions in his early twenties, setting up his thrilling career as a YouTube personality, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and tastemaker. Exploring his past with insight and humor, his present with humility, and his future with hope, Connor reveals his private struggles while providing heartfelt words of wisdom for young adults. His words will resonate with anyone coming of age in the digital era, but at the core is a timeless message for people of all ages: don’t be afraid to be yourself and to go after what you truly want. This full-colour collection includes photography and childhood clippings provided by Connor and is a must-have for anyone inspired by his journey.

"<strong>Couldn't stand it</strong><br/><br/>I hated it, not so much because th author isn't able to tell a good story, but rather because she writes the same story I've read hundreds of times before. Sticking to the formula and shying away from anything that would resemble originality. The guy is every other guy in the genre. Arrogant. Cocky. Constantly smirking and growling. Is all about the woman and her son until he has sex with her and then suddenly work is much more important. All is forgiven when he issues his lame apology. Nothing new here. The woman is every other woman in the genre. She's unbelievably patient and forgiving. She is constantly crying because she can't believe how lucky she is that he gives her even the slightest bit of attention. Nothing new here. Everyone is constantly laughing or trying not to laugh. This author feels she is much funnier than she is. She also has no understanding of the dynamics of male friendship and brotherhood. That's also not new as every other author feels that men are constantly hitting on their friends girlfriends and flipping each other off. Some people will love this because they love the formula and their comfortable with it. I will continue my search to try and find a book in the genre that tries for originality."
