"I could NOT wait to continue this story!! The trials are over but Oraya is left to pick up the pieces of the traumatic aftermath. Her entire world hangs in the balance. This story is so rich…full of politics, betrayal, magic, mystery, the struggles of love and family, and a kingdom on the brink of war. I absolutely loved this duology although I’m not entirely convinced it’s over. Tiny criticism: I could have done without the overly repetitive “there she is” and “Ix’s ****” lines."
"3.75 stars! This was top tier groveling, and a certain someone definitely won me over again. There was a ton of politics in this one, and I felt like it could have been 200 pages shorter. The ending wasn’t anything shocking honestly. It felt a bit repetitive and dragged at times, but still enjoyed most of it. Looking forward to the rest of the series!"
"Not as entertaining as the first one. It took me a while to get through the frustrating parts in the beginning. The last half of the book picked up and was interesting "

"<br/>What can I say? I’m a sucker for romantasy. Unfortunately this book didn’t have the same hold on me as the first one did. I felt like things were starting to get repetitive. For example: battles would always end with Oraya passing out and Raihn being right there when she regains consciousness. <br/>And let’s not forget, “There she is” <br/>This also might be an unpopular opinion: I could’ve lived without Raihn’s perspective. It killed the tension between him and Oraya pretty quickly. So having Oraya upset with him for so long got kind of annoying because Raihn wanted so badly to explain and make things right. And she just kept fighting it. I would’ve felt more connected with Oraya if I had all the same questions and anger she had. I do love Raihn though haha. <br/>Despite those things, I really enjoyed this read. It had beautiful visuals, like-able characters and a satisfying ending."
"This book was so good. It wasn’t as eventful as the first but emotionally it was just so devastatingly good. It was honestly painful to know what all these characters have been through and feel. I’m very sensitive and empathetic so it was a journey for me. I loved it though, I can’t wait for the next one, cause it seems like another is coming in the future. ◡̈"

"There’s nothing like a holding a substantial book in your hands. One where the author is giving you more than just snippets and then moving on to its companion. This is that kind of book. It’s not a 250 page read in a day. This book takes up your time and forces you to commit. I didn’t read book 1 in this series. And I didn’t need to in order to fall in love with the characters. It stands alone easily. Did I miss stuff not really. But I enjoyed the inner struggles of the characters and all the personalities of the supporting ones. Such a great read."
