"This was fabulous! The characters all aged beautifully and realistically. The relationships managed to pull at me on every page. The new characters made up for the lack of new worlds to explore. My biggest complaint is with the audiobook narrator. They had almost no personality, little to no voice change to distinguish characters (Thankfully A.K. Larkwood writes characters with pretty distinct ways of speaking) and their dry reading made even the really funny quips void of humor. Gosh I wish I had read this book instead of listened. And of course, I wish there was more. Not a longer story because everything was paced pretty well and frankly, I'm not sure what else could have been added but I am sad it's over!"
"honestly, a perfect sequel. it was very engaging and fast paced but slow moving when it needed to be in my opinion. i loved the diversity in characters (same as the first book!), especially since we’re getting a main non-binary character here! i can’t wait for the 3rd book (hopefully there will be one)! #fantasy #wlw #nonbinary "
