"The fourth in a series, The Twist of a Knife places author Anthony Horowitz — in his alter-ego role as playwright Anthony Horowitz — and his compadre Detective Hawthorne on a slippery slope. Anthony gets accused of murdering a critic unkind to his new play and the play circles around all the actors and theater workers involved with the play. Hawthorne, as always, delves into the accusations. A good story, this one better that the third book. I listened to this on audio, and the skill of the narrator, actor Rory Kinnear, cannot be overstated: He creates distinctive characters with his voice, intonation, pitch and cadence."
"Another enjoyably wry read from Horowitz. This time the author himself is the main suspect. Will Hawthorne let him get away with it? The audio book is excellent! Rory Kinnear perfectly captures the various characters (giving him some leeway here for the female characters). He will always be the voice of Hawthorne and Horowitz for me!"
"The story telling is very good and got me on the edge of my seat. I like how the author use different people’s words during interviewing to create such a suspenseful and shocking experience. This book got me thinking after reading it. I felt like finding clues was very easy, that why I didn't like it much but, I like it a lot because of the multiple feelings I get from reading specific lines. "
"This book had me at “performing arts!” I love a theater theme, and this did not disappoint. It was “twisty” (yes, pun intended) and just as exciting and thorough of a mystery as the first three books in the series. It seems to be there will be many more of these books to come, and I look forward to reading this year’s release!"
