The first time you meet someone, you make eye contact. You smile, say hello. Should be simple, if you're anyone but me. The first time I met Dylan Reed, I found myself making eye contact with a different part of his body. You see, I'm very good at being shy, not to mention extremely well-versed in rambling nonsense and, unfortunately, rather highly skilled at making a fool of myself in front of a guy I'm attracted to.At the time, I knew nothing about him and thought none of what I said would matter since I'd never speak to him again. Turns out, I was very wrong. He was the star wide receiver of the football team, one of the few players expected to make it into the NFL, and I ended up seeing him all over campus.I might have also propositioned him, run away from him, attacked him with a cooking utensil...and...uh, maybe I shouldn't tell you all of it. It's pretty normal stuff, things you'd expect...from me. Eventually, the time came when I couldn't hide anymore-not that he'd have let me even if I tried. Before now, he never knew I was secretly watching him. Now that we see each other every day, he knows when I have a hard time looking away. It doesn't help that I'm not the most subtle person in the world either. He smiles at me and tells me he finds me fascinating because of my quirks. I can't even tell him that I think my heart beats differently whenever he's around. He thinks we're going to be best friends. I think I have a big thing for him, and the more I get to know him, the more I don't care that I'm not allowed to be his friend, let alone fall for him.The thing is, that's exactly what I'm doing-what we're doing, I think.Falling.Hard.

"It had intense spicy moments but the build up to everything was great! The guy narrator made me cringe when he voiced the girl but the book was good to listen to. "

"Ella Maise does it again! I love her books and this one is a favorite! I love Zoe. I could picture her, and definitely would have been friends with her. I also love Dylan, a football player with a heart of gold. Zoe and Dylan together, explosive. Their love story is beautiful and endearing. Great read!!!"
"this book was cute! it was sweet and spicy with some depth. i really liked the progression of the characters relationship! it did deal with some trauma so a reminder to check those TWs :) one thing was, truthfully, I thought zoe was almost… too quirky?? she was a lovely but the rambling was a bit much especially when we first meet her haha - all in all, a cute, quick, spicy read!"

"So this book completely lost me. It wasn't an seamless read from the start. The whole meeting in the first place was too much for me and where I stopped I just couldn't do it.<br/><br/>There are several things on my no-go list, and this hit that on the third meet-up. <spoiler>Adultery, even if it isn't the mc who is cheating, is a huge no-go. She is sleeping with the head coach, who is married. The head coach, who is renting an apartment for them that the wife knows nothing about. I just can't read more.</spoiler> There are some things I don't mind, but this? This I just can't do. Nothing can make me lose respect for a character faster than something like this.<br/><br/>"
"Honestly this book hit my sports romance craving, the main couple had the slow burn but a good slow burn. it did have drama but i could handle it, i only hated one character but he is mentioned hardly except for one big part. however i LOVE IT.<br/><br/>i gave this book two stars because this book was good but I probably won't remember anything from it if you ask me about it in the future. I may not even remember the name. that’s why it’s two stars."

"I loved this book📖! During and after the book I was left with so many emotions of laughter, anger, and sadness. It definitely left me wanting more of the characters stories. I really wish the author would turn this into a book series 📚because I’m left with so many questions (in a good way). There’s spice 🌶🌶, drama 🎭, a build up of romance🌹, and beautiful friendship goals🥹. Definitely a 10/10 for me😁"
"DNF at 76% (less than 100 pages left) 2.9 stars<br/><br/>this one rly gave me wattpad vibes. wasn't terrible. just wasn't terribly mature. I took some time off reading it to watch Insecure, and I find that I have no interest in returning to it, so its a DNF for me. I think I might reread somethings"
