"If someone were to ask Jasmine Santos to describe the last few years of her life with a single word, it would definitely be a four-letter one. After seventeen years--and countless broken bones and broken promises--she knows her window to compete in figure skating is coming to a close. But when the offer of a lifetime comes in from an arrogant idiot she's spent the last decade dreaming about pushing in the way of a moving bus, Jasmine might have to reconsider everything. Including Ivan Lukov"--Page 4 of cover.

"Available on KU. Saw so many good reviews of this book so I was excited to read. It was a good book but not my favourite writing style or tropes. It’s the slowest of slow burns. I mean they don’t get together until the last 5% of the book slow which I do not like. There were a lot of moments in the book that seemed like they were going to build the tension and then the next chapter would fast forward to months later out of no where. This book has one spicy scene that is pretty tame. It’s also single POV which is not my favourite. Depth of character development was good. I feel very meh about this book but if super slow burn, enemies to lovers, and single POV are your jam this is a great book for you! "
"So, this is a double review. I read From Lukov with Love and then the Wall of Winnipeg and Me right after. While I definitely liked both, I think the slow burn was too slow for me. I get why it's written from a single character perspective, since it would ruin the surprise of the MC having been in love with the FC the whole time... But I really miss that side of stories when it's not there. It's realistic, I guess, since we never really know what our partner is thinking or feeling unless they tell you, but for me, it builds tension and drama when I can feel a love story from both sides. Side note, I liked From Lukov better of the two. "
"I like this book. I think Ivan and Jasmine are literally perfect for each other with their stubbornness and banter. Also, I love scenes where one of the main characters takes care of the other main character when they are sick. Also, the fact that Ivan kind of seemed to be in love with her the whole time is really heartwarming. I love the aspect of family and the animals and I definitely learned some more about ice skating. I don’t mind slow burn, and I am excited to read more of Mariana Zapata’s books!"

"I literally want to rave a about this book for hours days and weeks I loved everything about it the romance, the banter, the enemies to lovers, the family aspects, our main characters, and that slow-burn!!! Ahh pls. And I absolutely loved and ate up the ice skating parts like seriously in my next life, that better be my profession. The way the sports aspect of the book was just as satisfying as the romance was incredible; I was so invested in both equally After I finished. I immediatelv wanted to re-read lol like the book is 531 pages, and It still wasn't long enough. the romance was so cute and funny. You could tell how much these characters actually care for each other it was paced so well the romance didn't feel rushed at all and at the same time didn’t drag you just got to relish in all of it and theeee epilogue!! Pls I died at that point came back to life Just so I can one day re read this it was so perfect it made me love it all even more. I don't have a single complaint about this book. "
"I loved this book! This is my new favorite Slow Burn/Enemies to Lovers book! I loved the banter between Jasmine and Ivan. IVAN LUKOV DESERVES MORE HYPE! He is the book boyfriend I didn’t know I needed. I 100% recommend this book ❤️"

"This book was amazing! Of the Mariana Zapata books I’ve read, this one falls between Kulti (fav) and Wall of Winnepeg and Me (still love). The romance is pseudo-enemies to friends to lovers and the lovers is in the last 50 pages of the book. I’ve always enjoyed how Zapata manages to write characters that feel like a part of your life by the end of the book. This was no different. I loved how Jasmine was so focused on skating and the character development was fantastic. Ivan was also such a great character and seeing their partnership slowly develop and their support of each other - *chefs kiss*. Such a wonderful read with such excellent storytelling. 5⭐️, 2🌶 (one vaguely graphic sex scene)"

"ok let me be clear: this book is not good. the writing reminded me so strongly of what i used to read on wattpad - not a compliment. the pacing was off as well, the main two transitioning from enemies to lovers by leaping rather than smoothly moving from one stage to the next. jasmine hated ivan so much to start, and it didn't make sense why she let up so easily. and by the time they were friends, i realized i liked them better that way, platonic rather than romantic. but returning quickly to the enemies phase of their story, these two behaved like children. it truly felt like they were petty high schoolers. the fatphobia casually slipped in throughout was rough to read. AND THE ONLY SEX SCENE WAS IN THE LAST TWENTY PAGES OF THE BOOK. AND IT WASN'T GOOD. i could go on - there were details mentioned seeming to be part of new plotlines that were never mentioned again. i couldn't tell you why anyone in this book likes one another except maybe the two main characters. i'm so tired."
