"Was genuinely really excited to read this one after stumbling across an insta real raving about it but I barely mad it halfway. This was also my first “horror” novel. In the first 80 pages it’s interesting but then it just gets….. slow and repetitive. It felt like I was rereading the saaaame thing every chapter. I realized I wasn’t actually trying to finish the book out of enjoyment but rather just so I could be done with it. That’s when I just had to put it back on the shelf. "
"Honestly my favorite book of all time is probably Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark 3: More Tales to Chill Your Bones, but some other favorites are American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, Clive Barker’s Books of Blood: Volumes 1-3, We Are Here to Hurt Each Other by Paula D. Ashe, and The Demonologist by Gerald Brittle."
