Then he whispers a few words in your ear and disapperars, leaving you picking up the pieces of your shattered world. Adam Price has a lot to lose; a comfortable marriage to a beautiful woman, two wonderful sons, and all the trappings of the American Dream: a big house, a good job, a seemingly perfect life. Then he runs into the Stranger. When he learns a devastating secret about his wife, Corinne, he confronts her, and the mirage of perfection disappears as if it never existed at all. Soon Adam finds himself tangled in something far darker than even Corinne's deception, and realizes that if he doesn't make exactly the right moves, the conspiracy he's stumbled into will not only ruin lives - it will end them.

"I had a hard time with this read. It was slow in some places and had a bit too much filler for my personal taste. This author also seems to have an issue with SW he referred to them as “whores”. It was extremely distasteful. "

"I think this book fails on all fronts of what is trying to accomplish. The mystery of the book is horrible and not well told. The whole concept of “The Stranger” and that we are telling peoples secrets for the “greater good” when it really is just for profit. The whole mystery surrounding the wife almost seems as a afterthought and how it is wrapped up is insulting to a reader’s intelligence.

If you want a good mystery novel, read anything else"

"I blew through this novel! I’m not sure I could have stopped reading even if I wanted to. To be honest it wasn’t anything groundbreaking or eye opening, but it was a damn good thriller. After trying to read a slew of novels that I couldn’t even finish, this was a perfect reset book. I’ve been a fan of Harlan Coben for years, and every time I read one of his books I’m reminded of why I keep coming back for more!"

"The ending was sort of a let down, but the plot leading up to it was amazing. I recommend the book over the Netflix series, because it seems to tell the story better. The suspense also, may I add, is amazing. I think one of my favorite horror and thriller authors is Harlan Coven, I haven't read many of his books lately but I'm hoping to get some soon! "
