"I LOVE this book. Very sad but very empowering. It shows how important the parts that women had were in ww2. Very good fond family friendship story "

"I was excited about this book because I’m obsessed with WWII history, but this book just did NOT do it for me. I couldn’t connect to the characters, I got lost a lot. And it was unbelievably boring! I reserve 1 star ratings for books I feel wasted my time. Don’t waste your time. I should have DNF’d this book."
"There is no way for me to write a true review without accidentally giving something away, but this book is just so good! Completely riveting, I want to read it all again just to get the full perspective on it"

"A WWII spy novel which includes portrayal of the close friendship between the two women protagonists. (some harsh incidents—wartime, after all)"

"This was one of those "can't put it down" books. I read it within two days. Within those two days I've angered my husband and son who heard the refrain, "shh, just let me get to a good stopping place" one to many times.

I can't say much about the story because I wouldn't want to ruin it.

If you read any of the descriptions of the story and find yourself dismissing it as a depressing WWII book, DON'T. It is set during WWII and there are horrible Nazis involved, but it is not "that kind of story".

It's a must read...."
