A USA Today BestsellerBen Rosewood never meant to be bound to a vampire succubus, especially one as sexy-yet-terrifying as Eleonore Bettencourt-Devereux, but he has to admit there are some fang-tastic perks…. Werewolf Ben Rosewood is happy with his life. One hundred percent. Everything is fine. His business, Ben’s Plant Emporium, is thriving, and he’s even expanding the shop. His anxiety disorder is…well, it’s been better, but that comes with the territory of running a business and having beastly urges every full moon, right? As for romance—who has the time? Though his family is desperate to see him settled, Ben is fine approaching forty as a single werewolf. But after drunkenly bidding on and winning a supposedly-possessed crystal on eBay one night, he finds himself face-to-face with a beautiful yet angry vampire. Eleonore Bettencourt-Devereux is a rare breed—a vampire succubus born from two elite European bloodlines during medieval times. Thanks to an evil witch, she’s been stuck in a crystal since she was thirty, forced to obey orders from the possessor of the rock. Eleonore's been dreaming of breaking the spell and severing the witch’s head for centuries. But did this witch really sell her to someone new, and for only ninety-nine cents? Eleonore would claw this werewolf’s heart out and eat it, if only the binding spell would allow her to. But Eleonore and Ben soon realize they can help each other with both vengeful and less hostile needs. And why not have a little fun along the way?

"Love love love! This book was every bit as amazing as I had hoped! It was fast paced and soooo much fun! Both of the main characters were well written, complex, and so very lovable! Ben was an adorably awkward sweetheart! He was so patient and caring, and I don't think I could have loved him more if I tried! Eleanore was a badass with a tragic backstory and a heart of gold! I loved getting to see her learn to trust Ben, and watching her become accustomed to the modern world was absolutely hilarious! She and Ben were such a sweet couple! I loved the mental health representation woven into this book, and it was really sweet seeing Ben and Eleanore comfort and support one another. Werewolf x vampire, forced proximity/roommates, opposites attract, slow burn, small town, found family, cinnamon roll MMC, anxiety representation, spicy, and dual POV! I also loved getting to see the beloved characters from the previous books! It was sooo much fun diving back into the world of Glimmer Falls! I definitely recommend checking it out! This book can be read as a standalone, but the other two books are definitely worth checking out as well! "
"Every book in a series can’t be your favorite. I absolutely adored the first two, I just didn’t love this one quite as much. (In fact, I now want to go back and re-read the first one because of this one.) I liked the spice better in the first two, I liked the slower burn better in the first two. Maybe I just prefer witch stories.
I do respect that Hawley focuses on abuse, mental health, and always consent. Despite the deep topics (which are taken seriously) it feels light and fun.
If you liked this one, go read the first two. Especially if you are like me and prefer witch stories. "
